이스라엘은 2002년부터 팔레스타인인 거주 지역 주변에 콘크리트와 철조망으로 장벽을 쌓고 있습니다. 사람을 잡아다 감옥에 가두는 것이 아니라 팔레스타인인들의 생활공간 자체를 감옥으로 만들고 있는 것입니다.
3년 만에 라말라 근처에 있는 발레인을 다시 찾았습니다. 발레인은 5년째 장벽 건설 반대 투쟁이 진행되고 있는 곳입니다. 3년 전과 달라진 것은 그 때는 장벽 공사가 진행 중이었는데 지금은 장벽이 이미 마을을 둘러싸고 있었습니다. 그 때는 청년들이 돌을 던지고 있었는데 지금은 어린이, 청소년들이 돌을 던지고 있었습니다. 청년들이 연일 감옥으로 끌려가고 있으니... 이 날도 이스라엘 군인들은 집회 도중 팔레스타인인 1명을 끌고 갔습니다. 오늘은 사진 몇 장으로 2009년 9월25일 팔레스타인인들이 투쟁하던 모습을 전해 드리겠습니다.
